iTeach Schools is a fast-growing TFI alumni led start-up, focussed on providing a free, foundational and excellent education to secondary students.  We operate six, Grade 8 to Grade 10 schools in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation and our funding partners.  Our 6 schools currently serve about 1100 students, and 330 student alumni as they make their way through college!  Read more about us at   
The secondary grades are the last lap of intervention for these students, and perhaps the only chance we have left to level the playing field between them and their high-income peers.  In the academic year 2019-20, we are looking at starting two more schools, and are looking for an exceptional person to join our Curriculum Manager to develop expertise in Curriculum Design & Implementation – towards making the learning at our schools truly purposeful, real world and contextual.  
Tasks and Responsibilities
The Curriculum Associate will work with the Curriculum Manager on the overall research and development of the schools’ curriculum, assistance to school leaders and teachers in its effective implementation and implementing processes for constant improvement. Given that iTeach Schools is barely 3 years old, we are looking for people who will be eager to design and create the most effective systems and processes, combining researched best practices with their own contextual innovation.
• Research the best possible approaches to integration of Values and Mindsets, Exposure and Access, 21st Century Skills, Project Based Learning and Arts
• Develop and monitor implementation strategies for the above • Implement and drive feedback loops to constantly refine curriculum quality
Teacher and School Leader Support:
● Assist School Leaders and Lead Teachers with feedback on planning, analysis of student data and course correction
● Observe teachers in their classrooms and provide strong instructional feedback
● Assist the Counselor Team and define instruction for students with LDs
● Research standardized assessments and identify what can work best given our school vision and culture
● Strengthen formative assessments across the board - exit slips, weekly tests and unit tests as a strong lever to improve instruction
Drive Institutional Learning / Knowledge Management Processes:
● Facilitate sharing and implementation of teaching best practices amongst subject teams from different schools 
● Document best practices and exceptional lessons, and be able to share with other schools and organizations in this space
  • Bachelors Degree in any relevant field
Minimum Experience
● Bachelor’s degree with exceptional performance as a teacher for 2+ years
● Experience with research and design projects, including demonstrable outcomes of these projects
● Experience with various pedagogical approaches and a sense of what works where
● Exceptionally strong instructional expertise, and advanced proficiency in classroom planning
● Ability to conduct research independently and contextualize
● Comfort with large data sets and ability to glean applicable insights from the data
● Excellent written and oral communication skills
● Strong instructional knowledge and expertise
● An incredibly strong work ethic, willingness to learn and critical reflection
