Tasks and Responsibilities
Strategy Development
  • Identify scope and opportunities among corporate sector to grow business development work for CSR and Payroll giving, scaling the existing fundraising model.
  • Implement the business development strategy for financial growth.
  • Innovate, develop and support new fundraising products to broad-based CAF India’s streams of fundraising.
  • Undertake research on individual giving, and use findings to promote new ideas, concepts and generate more business opportunity for CAF India.
Management
  • Research and identify potential donors, cultivate relationship and communicate with current donors for increased ‘giving’.
  • Write proposals and create presentations to pitch for business development.
  • Work closely with other units of CAF, particularly the Programs, GAYE, Finance, regional representatives/offices, and CAF’s global alliance to ensure CAF fundraising is represented and positioned appropriately.
  • Conceptualize fundraising campaigns, prepare fundraising marketing material and content with the Communications team.
  • Effectively use digital media such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Blogs to increase CAF India’s visibility.
  • Create and maintain database of all existing and potential donors.
Events and Client Servicing
  • Responsible for operational aspects of GAYE and CSR portfolio of CAF India including programmatic interventions.
  • Continually improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the Donor Servicing intervention at CAF India.
  • Organize donor events/meet, campaigns and other fund-raising events. 
Perform other related task as may be assigned by the Line Manager or Head of Department.
Qualifications
  • Post Graduate in Management, Social work, Communication from reputed institution.
  • Candidates having combination of experiences in the development sector as well as in the corporate sector are preferable though not mandatory.
  • Experience of 5 to 10 years of working in the corporate sector, or within the not-for-profit sector, in individual giving, product management and client servicing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory as the job profile requires formal and professional interactions with corporates and foundations.
  • Excellent computer related technical skills in MS word, excel, PPT, on-line social media, etc. are very much required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and at the same time to be an efficient team member to get cooperation from other team members.
  • Good understanding of strength and weaknesses of both the NGO sector as well as the corporate sector.
Minimum Experience
