Desired Job Profile
  • Our new senior program manager will join a dynamic team making a difference in Pune, and we expect to expand to other cities and states in India. The identified candidate will oversee growth and expansion ofSafe Kids at Home Program. The candidate will provide overall executive leadership with an emphasis on solidifying existing funder relationships and establishing new funder relationships, steadily increasing the visibility of Safe Kids Foundation. We need a creative, talented, self-driven, efficient, highly organized, enthusiastic and competent senior program manager who is passionate about child injury prevention and would help us reach our bold goals to save children from harm through excellent program support. It is a position that reports directly to Program Director, and has a huge potential to grow in responsibility.
Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall management of Safe Kids at Home Program both in PMC and PCMC area.
  • Develop, finalize and implement the project management plan in coordination with the program director, program team and implementing partners.
  • Make sure that project’s monthly/quarterly/annual reports are prepared and submitted to program director for review and onward transmission to the donor.
  • Track project deliverables as agreed with the donor on a monthly/quarterly basis and submit the validated data to the program director.
  • Gain an understanding of best practice safety standards related to home safety.
  • Completely responsible for conducting trainings to educators and volunteers.
  • Responsible for development of training and educational materials on home safety.
  • Adequate experience in content writing and copy editing.
  • Review program activities and reports of implementing partners on a weekly/monthly basis and identify and correct performance problems.
  • Provide monthly activity reports to the director and prepare quarterly reports.
  • Oversee and guide development of program documentation, including work plans, budgets, best practices and reports for donor submissions. 
  • Provide strategic guidance on projects and implement program and media activities.
  • Analyze, compile, and verify data, and prepare reports.
  • Attend and represent the organization at relevant meetings and conferences. Serve as the home safety subject matter expert for Safe Kids Foundation India. 
  • Responsible for organizing volunteering program for the employees, and any other large scale and small events related to the project.
  • Establish strong relationships with key corporate, government, school, and NGO leaders in Pune and key cities where growth is directed.
  • Liaison with the key stakeholders and advocate for child injury prevention.
  • Establish a network of strong partners to meet the objectives of the home safety program.
  • Support communications manager in the design and development of communications materials for use across target population ensuring standard messaging and content.
  • Create and implement a fundraising strategy to attract new corporate and philanthropic supporters to support organizational activities
  • Oversee financial and programmatic accountability systems to enable funders and stakeholders have a high degree of confidence in operational efficiency of Safe Kids Foundation.
  • Oversee process of establishing a comprehensive communications and marketing strategy for Safe Kids Foundation to amplify program activities.
  • Provide strategic guidance on research and programmatic activities.
  • Any other task assigned by the management.
Qualifications
  • University degree in Social Science, business, marketing or related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Ten to fifteen years of demonstrated corporate or NGO experience in leading business/NGO expansion activities.
  • Experience with managing staff, ideally experience in managing virtual teams.
  • Experience and comfort with fundraising and cultivation of new donors.
  • Fluency in English and local language.
  • Experience working with diverse groups and knowledge of and respect for local customs.
Minimum Experience
  • Ten to fifteen years of demonstrated corporate or NGO experience in leading business/NGO expansion activities.
Skills
  • Excellent communications skills, including public speaking and writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to raise charitable funds to support causes, with an emphasis on corporate and philanthropic fundraising.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to respect and work with a range of communities and groups.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and problem solving skills.
  • Understanding of business principles, including knowledge of budgets and fiscal accountability.
  • Understanding of and experience working with corporations desirable.
