LearnIT Facilitator

Dream A Dream is looking to recruit part-time (3 hours per day) enthusiastic Program Facilitators for its LearnIT Program - a life skills* and computer literacy program for children from vulnerable and poor socio-economic backgrounds run by Dream A Dream since 2006. The Program currently reaches over 400 children from classes 9th and 10th across a variety of communities in Bangalore such as Roopen Agarahara (near Silk Board), Frazer Town, Bismillanagar (near S.G Palaya), and Vibuthipura (off Old Airport Road near Marathahalli).

The LearnIT program aims to empower children with life skills (Interpersonal skills, Problem solving, Confidence, Managing conflict etc.) using computers and IT (Information Technology) as a medium. The sessions are designed using games, group activities, and innovative engagement methods to cover the basics of computer hardware, computer applications (MS Office, Paint...), and Internet and Multimedia (email, search engines, photo/audio/ video editing…).

We are looking for energetic individuals who are passionate about engaging and building capacity in children from vulnerable communities. Motivated individuals who might have previous experience in coaching, but are skilled in using various creative techniques to 'facilitate' the learning and enrichment of youth.
