About the Organisation
Under The Mango Tree works on diversifying livelihood options and increasing incomes for small and marginal farmers in various parts of India through bee keeping. Currently our programme areas are in various parts of Gujarat, Maharashtra where we work in partnership with other established NGOs. As part of a small team in a start up, we offer a challenging work environment with immense opportunities to learn and grow. We are looking for a person who is a self starter and is excited to be part of an initiative that is new and poised to expand both programmatically and geographically.
Responsibilities
The Programme Officer will be a key member of the Programme Team. His/her responsibilities will include
- Programme management (planning, implementing and monitoring) at various locations, documenting and report writing
- Research , Networking and Policy Advocacy
- Assisting the Programme Leader in the execution of her responsibilities
- Ability to be a team worker, multi task and be a part of a dynamic start up environment
Desirable Qualifications and Attributes
- Graduates in Agriculture with post graduation in Social Work/Rural Management/Social Sciences will be preferred. Agriculture graduates with 2-3 years of work experience in NGOs are also welcome to apply
- Good reporting, writing and communication skills in English
- Ability to work well in a team
- Ability to read, write and speak Marathi or Gujarati fluently
- Proficiency in computers – Word, Excel and Powerpoint
